Period Costumes for the Screen

The "Period Costumes for the Screen" exhibition is being showcased until the 16 of December 2007 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Fourth Floor Gallery in Beverly Hills. The exhibition has on display 36 period film costumes including Oscar nominated designs such as outfits worn by Gwyneth Paltrow in "Emma", by Nicole Kidman in "The Portrait of a Lady" or by Cate Blanchett in "Elizabeth". These costumes and accessories are made by Cosprop Ltd, UK, which uses authentic cut and construction and even vintage fabric or lace inserts to recreate a certain period outfit.
